Meet the Founder
Mick
Oprichter
Al op 8-jarige leeftijd struinde Mick met zijn vader over de heide, op zoek naar adders en ringslangen. Niet lang daarna kocht hij zijn eerste rode rattenslang op een reptielenbeurs. Op zijn 10e wist hij zelfs zijn meester te overtuigen om een slang in de klas te nemen: een grijze rattenslang. Al snel volgden er meer.
Sindsdien is hij altijd een echte reptielenliefhebber gebleven. Toen hij het ouderlijk huis verliet voor een studentenhuis, duurde het niet lang voordat er een terrarium met een koningspython in de woonkamer stond. Dat is inmiddels 14 jaar geleden, en die python heeft hij nog steeds. Vandaag de dag houdt Mick er een serieuze kweekcollectie op na met ruim 20 koningspythons.
Met al die jaren ervaring in de reptielenwereld zag Mick hoe versnipperd de markt was: verspreid over social media, forums en beurzen. Dat was de inspiratie voor ReptiPlace, een moderne, betrouwbare marktplaats speciaal voor reptielenliefhebbers, waar zowel beginners als ervaren kwekers terecht kunnen.
